Casey
is a graduate of Savannah College of Art in Design with a BFA in Graphic
Design and a minor in Art History. He has worked as a designer and production
artist designing graphics for convention displays in Houston, Texas in
1994-96.In 1996, he moved to Birmingham, Alabama and joined CMH Architects
as the firm's Environmental and Graphic Designer where he worked for 13
years. A jack of all trades, Casey's responsibilities included, logo,
brochure, advertising, environmental, and presentation design for the
company and clients. He became the primary rendering artist for the company
and was involved in color and material selections for projects across
the country.
In 2007 Casey
started His Hands Creative Arts as a private instructor teaching pencil
and color pencil drawing. In 2009 he expanded his private lessons into
a fulltime business that includes a variety of art lessons and freelance
services.

As Senior Designer for CMH, I developed the procedures for our company
to produced our color renderings, streamlining the different methods
to get CAD drawings from the Architect into the artists hands for coloring.
At that time I trained our Vice President of Design in the new procedures
and the use of Photoshop cutting the production time in half. I developed
4 distinctly different (but not limited too) rendering styles to suit
the different and/or changing tastes of our clients becoming the primary
rendering artist for the firm. I was involved in just about every major
project in our office in their different phases. The list includes,
working with the project team leaders laying out the RFP/Q’s,
slide presentations, color renderings of concept and final designs of
perspectives, site plans and elevations. Material and color selection.
Project and Tenant Manuals. Logo Design, Signage Design - project, monument,
pylon, directional, tenant, and office. Project brochures, announcements,
client brochures, magazine and newspaper adds.
