God;
the ultimate creator of all, he alone allows us to have the senses of
taste, touch and vision of beauty in our inner most being. I have no doubt
every single one of us has that ability, like the sense of our creation,
the ability to love, feel, and just know what is beautiful. It is my belief
each one of us possesses that ability and manifests it daily by God's
grace by just “being”.
Art should never be considered excellent by us through the eyes of the
perverse, nor put upon the shelf of useless wares of unproductivity by
believers. It's time Christians claim back what was most graciously given
them, that ancient remnant, the ability to see what is good. If Christians
are a reflection of Christ himself, how can we disregard our own creativity,
even if it is on paper? Is that not a reflection of Gods greatness? Is
it not by His own creation that we possess the ability to be creative,
to seek beauty in Gods creation and emulate it in everything we do?
I think most people do not think about the fine arts in every day life
and KNOW how it really effects us. The fine arts well spring starts with
the ability to “see beauty”, which is at the basic level of
learning how to draw for the most part with exceptions. However, it is
the study of the fine arts that produce: Drawings, Paintings, Sculpture…which
can be for more specialized skills in the modern world like, fashion design,
graphic design, computer graphics, advertising… et. al. Now, how
important are these right now in discriminating tastes? So is artistic
creativity a worth while pursuit? You be the judge, I so happen to believe
it is. |
